The Northern Territory of Australia is now most in need of skilled immigrants to fill its labour shortages in 2014, according to a recent study by AMMA Pit Crew Labour Market.
Due to the booming economy in Australia, the country continues to have extreme shortages in skilled immigrants in many occupations such as boilermakers, specialist welders, pipe fitters, mechanical fitters, electricians, crane operators, scaffolders, production specialists, and various management positions.
To continue projected output in trade and construction areas, Tara Diamond of the Australian Mines and Metals Association unveiled that the association need over 5000 international skilled migrants to Australia.
By the end of 2014, the construction and trade workforce needs in Australia are likely to reach 98,000, with 5644 positions to be filled in the Northern Territory alone.
These shortages present big chances to international skilled workers wishing to work in Australia, with experience and relevant qualifications in these areas, all the abroad workers can gain work permits for Australia quickly if they apply to the Northern Territory specifically, rather than areas with more competition. A person’s ability to obtain a work permit is subject to meeting the relevant visa requirements first.
